We do not carry the biggest case in Naples, and we are not trying to. What we carry is what one jeweler has looked at, taken apart, and been willing to put his name to. Appraisal and repair happen at that same bench.
Most people come in for one of three reasons.

Appraisal
Written valuations for insurance, estate settlement and division between family. Done on the premises — the piece does not leave the building, and in most cases you walk out with the document the same day.

Repair & restoration
Sizing, retipping, stone setting, clasp and chain work. Period pieces are restored to hold together and be worn, not polished until they look new — that is how value gets erased.

Estate buying
We buy single pieces and whole estates. You will get a straight number and the reasoning behind it. If a piece is worth more to you than to us, we will tell you that too.
The person who values it is the person who repairs it.
In most shops the appraisal is posted out and the repair is sent to a trade workshop two counties away. Here both happen ten feet from the counter. It means we answer for the work, and it means you can watch a clasp go back on if you want to.
Condition over story. Hallmarks over hope.
A piece tells on itself if you know where to look — at the marks inside the shank, at whether the prongs have been rebuilt twice already, at whether the stones came with it or came later. We would rather sell you one honest period piece than three that merely look old.
